You try to sit back and point your finger at another
trying to embellish yourself by making others take the blame.
But in reality you are pointing at a mirror.
Not recognizing yourself because
you are now disfigured by lies.
The monster in the mirror
has no brain to remember every lie that
was told to configure these stories that help you get by.
Each lie is the fuel for the monster to grow,
but you put on your make-up in the mirror
so the ugliness doesn’t show.
Still pretty, still polished, still lacking all knowledge
still taking a few steps towards death row.
But the monster wont subside and you
try and you try to cover up the
Hideous features coming from inside
So O`real got real and Maybelline killed ya dream
And Covergirl won’t cover the lies anymore.
So you travel from store to store
For the medicine to cure
The repulsiveness and to restore
The counterfeit beauty everyone thought was yours
Cover girl
